Today we are heading to Krislund Camp & Conference Center for the Wedding Ceremony & Reception of Page & Cullen.  At 4:00 PM on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, in one of the most beautiful spots we have been to. Page made her way down the aisle, escorted by her parents to meet Cullen while the music of Train's "Marry Me" played in the back. After they were officially announced Mr & Mrs. Kanagy the bride and groom and wedding party exited the the ceremony to Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours). While immediate family and the bridal party joined Maria from Maria Crisafulli Photography for a few more family pictures. Guests were ushered back to the reception. This week's venue spotlight takes us to Newburg, PA. We just wrapped up the wedding of  Siobhan and Joshua at this beautiful venue. Heritage Restored Farm Wedding is a breathtaking venue with some amazing views on 57 acres of land. Meet Karlen. She and her husband Mark have been working on this venue for over a decade. The thing that they wanted to do the most was keep the barn in it's original form. The barn dates back to the 1800s and has the look of an old style barn from the inside and out.  This is no small barn either. There is enough room for over 200 of your closest family and friends to join you for a wedding, party, or any event you would like to host. There is so much room you can event put up tents outside the barn as well. Plenty of parking available for vendors and guests too. Today we are heading to Heritage Restored Farm Weddings And Events in Newburg PA. (See more about this venue in our venue spotlight ) At 5:00pm on a somewhat dreary Saturday afternoon, but not enough to dampen the mood of Siobhan & Joshua, or their friends and family, Siobhan's wedding party made their way down the aisle to where Joshua was waiting to the music of Jake Coco and a cover of Oasis's "Wonderwall.  Friends and family were then asked to rise as Siobhan made her way down the aisle to "Faithfully" by Boyce Avenue. After reading their vows to each other, Siobhan and Joshua were presented to friends and family and exited the ceremony to "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by The Verve. Siobhan and Joshua returned from pictures and made their Grand Entrance to the reception to "Remember Us This Way" by Lady Gaga. Next week begins the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. On the off weekends this wedding season we will continue to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. With that said, this week let's head right down the road from us to Harmony Forge in Bellefonte, PA. We were here for 2 weddings last year. In August we helped Todd and Paige get married and in October we were here for Nicole & Christopher's Wedding.  How about a little history! The Harmony Forge property dates back to the 1790s. It is the site of the Harmony Forge/Milesburg Iron Works that was built after the Revolutionary War. There is no definitive date to when the mansion was built, but can be dated to somewhere between 1796 and 1820.  The iron works no longer exist but the mansion does, and the property has seen many different reincarnations over the...

This week's venue spotlight takes us to Millbrook Marsh & Nature Center. We were here in August for the wedding of Leigh and Jared. Just like last week's venue they offer several outdoor locations for your ceremony and the reception can be held in the barn.  Take a look at some of the areas outside to hold your reception and or ceremony. Saturday Night we had the pleasure of Djing the 20th Reunion of the Bellefonte Are High School Class of 1998. (It's actually 21 but....shhhhh!) The Nittany Country Club put out a wonderful dinner spread and we redid the slide show they had put together years ago, and added a few highlights from the 10 year reunion. Brittany and AJ have actually known each other since he was in radio. So when he saw that she was getting married he reached out to her. On a side note AJ could not be happier for Brittany, she found the man that makes happy every day. I mean just look at those smiles. So this reception got off to a rocky start. Beginning with the weather forecast on Wednesday! There was lots of talk about a major snowstorm hitting this area Sunday into Monday. At one point the National Weather Service had us in a Winter Storm Watch. While everyone as the ceremony, the storm changed track and we were downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory. Well now that the Bridal Expo has passed, we would first like to thank the hundreds of brides who came out looking for that perfect vendor for their nuptials. One of the most common things we heard during the day was "Oh that is a lot more than we had planned to spend". So I decided to write this article based on some of the horror stories we have heard in the past.  Have you heard the statement "You get what you paid for?" This afternoon we are headed back to The Atherton Hotel in State College for the first wedding reception of 2019.  Today's couple is Jessica and Ethan. The couple arrived at the hotel during cocktail hour after getting some pictures with TM Grey Photos. After the Grand Entrance to Blue Suede's "Hooke On A Feeling"  Our Bride & Groom took to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife, dancing to "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith, with the bubbles. Jessica than stayed on the dance floor for a dance with her father who happens to be a huge Jimmy Buffet fan, Jessica chose "Little Miss Magic" by Jimmy Buffet for the dance. And then Ethan and his mom took to the dance floor, for the Mother/Son dance. This week we head back for the wedding of Courtney & Jordan. It's New Year's Eve Weekend and of all the people to come down sick this week. It is AJ. AJ is the DJ/Emcee for the night and has been battling the stomach bug that has been floating around.  Tonight will be a little more scaled back than most weddings, mostly because the bride and groom wanted it that way, but also because AJ is running on fumes and barely even is aware where he is at. Once the bride and groom return from pictures with Daniel James Photography we have our grand entrance.
