Siobhan & Joshua's Wedding

Today we are heading to Heritage Restored Farm Weddings And Events in Newburg PA. (See more about this venue in our venue spotlight)

At 5:00pm on a somewhat dreary Saturday afternoon, but not enough to dampen the mood of Siobhan & Joshua, or their friends and family, Siobhan's wedding party made their way down the aisle to where Joshua was waiting to the music of Jake Coco and a cover of Oasis's "Wonderwall.
Friends and family were then asked to rise as Siobhan made her way down the aisle to "Faithfully" by Boyce Avenue. After reading their vows to each other, Siobhan and Joshua were presented to friends and family and exited the ceremony to "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by The Verve.

Siobhan and Joshua returned from pictures and made their Grand Entrance to the reception to "Remember Us This Way" by Lady Gaga. Joshua took a few extra minutes to dance with Siobhan and the little ones before sitting down to dinner provided by Amber's Country Catering. We then cut the cake to "Dearly Departed" by Shakey Graves. Both Siobhan and Joshua were nice enough to feed each other the cake. They both then took center stage for their first dance as husband and wife to "Overwhelmed" by Tim McMorris.

We then invited all couples to join Siobhan and Joshua for the anniversary dance. Where we found that Siobhan's grandparents have been together the longest at 54 years. Grandma was extremely excited to be the winner of the bouquet, and honored to be the couple with the most years of useful advise to give to the bride and groom.

Before we opened the dance floor we paused to see how well the bride and groom knew each other during the Mr & Mrs Game, where we learned that Siobhan is more likely to drop her phone in the toilet and is on Facebook more, while Joshua thinks he wears the pants in the relationship and is more likely to deal with a spider in the bathtub.

We then opened the dance floor with "Shut Up And Dance" by Walk The Moon. After a few upbeat songs and a little Eric Clapton for the couples, Siobhan and Joshua took center stage again for the Dollar Dance. This was a competition to see who could raise more money, and while Siobhan had a longer line of people to dance with, Joshua is the one who raked in the most cash.

After that...the real party began as we went back in time to the late 90's and early 2000's when everyone was in High School and College for some classics like Love Shack, Shape Of You, Shout, Baby Got Back, Whip My Hair, and more.

We then cleared the dance floor so that Siobhan and Joshua could dance one last dance with each other before ending the night. They took center stage this time dancing to a cover of the Bush song "Glycerine" by Boyce Avenue, and inviting everyone to join them on the dance floor 1/2 way through. We then ended the night with "Closing Time" by Semisonic

Congratulations To Mr & Mrs. Kepner!

Venue Spotlight April 7, 2019

We are almost into the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. Until wedding season begins we want to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. This week we head to Tiadaghton Farm in Jersey Shore, PA. Tiadaghton Farm 707 River Road Jersey Shore, PA 17740 http://tiadaghtonfarm.com/ This is a very interesting site. There is plenty of space to park cars and more than one area to hold your ceremony if you wish to do so.  The property has been family owned since the 1940's and  The barn was in built in the 1950’s and for six decades served as a tobacco barn. The barn was renovated and became  Tiadaghton Farm Wedding Venue in 2015, and has quickly become  the best choice for rustic and elegant weddings in the area. Leslie & Mike's Wedding

All photos used in this post are courtesy of NixPix Photography Today we are heading to Laurel Rock Farms in Mifflintown for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception of Mike & Leslie. AJ actually went to school with Leslie so was honored when he was asked to DJ their wedding. Upon arriving it was an unusually warm day for October. The ceremony was to have been outside but with blazing sunshine and temperatures already near 90 degrees, Leslie made the call to move the ceremony indoors.  At 2PM, Mike and the groomsmen took their places down front as the Bridal Party made their way down the aisle. Then all the guests rose as Leslie made her way down the aisle to an instrumental version of "Marry Me" by Train. After the officiant presented the new Mr & Mrs Carter they walked back up the aisle to an instrumental version of "Beautiful Day" by U2. After a short receiving line, the bride, groom, bridal party, and families were taken for pictures by Nikkie...
