Venue Spotlight April 28, 2019

Next week begins the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. On the off weekends this wedding season we will continue to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. With that said, this week let's head right down the road from us to Harmony Forge in Bellefonte, PA.

We were here for 2 weddings last year. In August we helped Todd and Paige get married and in October we were here for Nicole & Christopher's Wedding.

How about a little history! The Harmony Forge property dates back to the 1790s. It is the site of the Harmony Forge/Milesburg Iron Works that was built after the Revolutionary War. There is no definitive date to when the mansion was built, but can be dated to somewhere between 1796 and 1820.

The iron works no longer exist but the mansion does, and the property has seen many different reincarnations over the year, serving for the longest time as a farm along Spring Creek.

The grounds were purchased in 2012 and extensive renovations have gone into the barn and mansion.

Venue Spotlight April 14, 2019

This week's venue spotlight takes us to Millbrook Marsh & Nature Center. We were here in August for the wedding of Leigh and Jared. Just like last week's venue they offer several outdoor locations for your ceremony and the reception can be held in the barn. Take a look at some of the areas outside to hold your reception and or ceremony. Until wedding season begins we want to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. This week we head to Tiadaghton Farm in Jersey Shore, PA. There is plenty of space to park cars and more than one area to hold your ceremony if you wish to do so. The property has been family owned since the 1940's and The barn was in built in the 1950’s and for six decades served as a tobacco barn. The barn was renovated and became Tiadaghton Farm Wedding Venue in 2015, and has quickly become the best choice for rustic and elegant weddings in the area. Lock Haven Boy Scout Troop Holiday Party

Tonight DJ Gigi was helping us out by picking up an event for us in Lock Haven. Stef who is a leader with the Boy Scouts and friends with AJ had contacted us about DJing the party. We weren't available to do it, but after reaching out to DJ Gigi she agreed to do it for us. We are thankful that she was able to pull it off for us and all had a wonderful time.
