Brittany & Andrew's Wedding

(All Photos On This Blog Post Are Courtesy Of Rosetta Photos)

This week we are heading to the Legion in Pleasant Gap, for the wedding reception of Brittany and Andrew. Brittany and AJ have actually known each other since he was in radio. So when he saw that she was getting married he reached out to her. On a side note AJ could not be happier for Brittany, she found the man that makes happy every day. I mean just look at those smiles.

So this reception got off to a rocky start. Beginning with the weather forecast on Wednesday! There was lots of talk about a major snowstorm hitting this area Sunday into Monday. At one point the National Weather Service had us in a Winter Storm Watch. While everyone as the ceremony, the storm changed track and we were downgraded to a Winter Weather Advisory.

So Saturday rolls in and Andrew and Brittany officially become husband and wife. Only thing is they did that about an hour earlier than they had expected to be done. So not only were the guests showing up way earlier than we had anticipated, the bride and groom were also an hour earlier than anticipated. These things happen though and you roll with it.

After checking on dinner and finding out we still needed at least 45 minutes we decided to do the grand entrance and then let the bride and groom mingle during the cocktail hour. After the cocktail hour was over and before the start of dinner Brittany and Andrew took to the dance floor to dance for the first time as husband and wife to Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli's "Perfect Symphany".

The Best Man and Maid Of Honor then toasted the bride and groom and the groom's father delivered the blessing before we were treated to a very tasty mean from the staff at the BJC who happen to also be friends of the bride and groom.

After dinner we made our way to the cake. Where Andrew was nice and fed his piece to Brittany, she got a little on his nose. We then moved on to the parent dances where Brittany and her dad danced to Alison Krauss "When You Say Nothing At All". Andrew and his mom danced to "You'll Be In My Heart" from Phil Collins.

During the Mr And Mrs Game we discovered the Andrew not only uses all the hot water, he also spends the most time getting ready in the morning, while Brittany is the one who will always ask directions and has a better taste in music. This was followed by an awkward Garter/Bouquet Toss.

We then opened the dance floor for guests to get their groove on for the the rest of the night before Brittany and Andrew took to the dance floor one last time as husband and wife to finish out the night with "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane. We then send goodnight to the guests, congratulated the bride and groom and sent everyone home to the sounds of the Clash and "Should I Stay Or Should I Go"

Oh by the way we ended up getting just around 2 inches of snow from the massive snow storm :)

Congratulations again to Brittany and Andrew and thanks for letting us be part of your special day.

Louise & Evan's Wedding

This week we are headed to Laurel Mountain Winery in Falls Creek, PA, for the wedding of Louise and Evan. This couple has actually been married since December of 2016, but had issues with getting friends and family together for the reception until now. We were set up inside a pavilion that overlooked the vines for the winery. The cocktail hour music was provided by a local artist who played guitar and sang for the cocktail hour. This was a laid back event so the bride and groom mingled during the cocktail hour. Towards the end of the cocktail hour we lined up the bridal party and did a grand entrance and then ate dinner which was provided by some of the guests, who brought their own recipes. After dinner Louise and Evan took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife...Something that they had waited over a year to do. For the first time friends and family watched them dance to Ed Sheeran and Beyonce's "Perfect". We then partied later into the ...

We are almost into the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. Until wedding season begins we want to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. This week we head to Tiadaghton Farm in Jersey Shore, PA. Tiadaghton Farm 707 River Road Jersey Shore, PA 17740 http://tiadaghtonfarm.com/ This is a very interesting site. There is plenty of space to park cars and more than one area to hold your ceremony if you wish to do so.  The property has been family owned since the 1940's and  The barn was in built in the 1950’s and for six decades served as a tobacco barn. The barn was renovated and became  Tiadaghton Farm Wedding Venue in 2015, and has quickly become  the best choice for rustic and elegant weddings in the area. Leslie & Mike's Wedding

All photos used in this post are courtesy of NixPix Photography Today we are heading to Laurel Rock Farms in Mifflintown for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception of Mike & Leslie. AJ actually went to school with Leslie so was honored when he was asked to DJ their wedding. Upon arriving it was an unusually warm day for October. The ceremony was to have been outside but with blazing sunshine and temperatures already near 90 degrees, Leslie made the call to move the ceremony indoors.  At 2PM, Mike and the groomsmen took their places down front as the Bridal Party made their way down the aisle. Then all the guests rose as Leslie made her way down the aisle to an instrumental version of "Marry Me" by Train. After the officiant presented the new Mr & Mrs Carter they walked back up the aisle to an instrumental version of "Beautiful Day" by U2. After a short receiving line, the bride, groom, bridal party, and families were taken for pictures by Nikkie...
