Courtney & Jordan's Wedding

All pictures used in this post are courtesy of Daniel James Photography

So it is really beginning to look like we live at The Atherton Hotel. This week we head back for the wedding of Courtney & Jordan. It's New Year's Eve Weekend and of all the people to come down sick this week. It is AJ. AJ is the DJ/Emcee for the night and has been battling the stomach bug that has been floating around.

Tonight will be a little more scaled back than most weddings, mostly because the bride and groom wanted it that way, but also because AJ is running on fumes and barely even is aware where he is at.

Once the bride and groom return from pictures with Daniel James Photography we have our grand entrance. The bridal party walks into "Forever" by Chris Brown and the Bride and Groom enter to "Happy" by Pharell Williams. Once Courtney & Jordan are seated we get to some toasts from the Best Man and Maid Of Honor.

Dinner is then served, another meal served up by the staff at The Atherton Hotel. Dinner is followed by cake cutting. Jordan and Courtney cut the cake to "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler, and were very nice to each other when it came to feeding one another.

Dinner was followed by the first dance to "Only To Be With You" by Judah & The Lion

This was followed by the Father/Daughter dance, Courtney's father has passed away and Courtney decided to share the dance with people who have been there to support her and guide her through the trying times. Courtney picked "No Hard Feelings" by Avett Brothers to dance with these special people to.

Next up it was time for Jordan to take the floor with his mother for the Mother/Son Dance. Jordan chose "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong to dance to.

We then opened up the dance floor for the rest of the night and partied.

We closed out the night with "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran

Congratulations To Mr & Mrs Jacoby.

Venue Spotlight April 7, 2019

We are almost into the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. Until wedding season begins we want to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. This week we head to Tiadaghton Farm in Jersey Shore, PA.

Tiadaghton Farm 707 River Road Jersey Shore, PA 17740 http://tiadaghtonfarm.com/
This is a very interesting site. There is plenty of space to park cars and more than one area to hold your ceremony if you wish to do so.

The property has been family owned since the 1940's and The barn was in built in the 1950’s and for six decades served as a tobacco barn. The barn was renovated and became Tiadaghton Farm Wedding Venue in 2015, and has quickly become the best choice for rustic and elegant weddings in the area.

For more information about Tiadaghton Farm visit their website or Facebook page or call (570) 419-7111. Thanks for taking a little time to check out t…

The Horror Stories

Well now that the Bridal Expo has passed, we would first like to thank the hundreds of brides who came out looking for that perfect vendor for their nuptials. One of the most common things we heard during the day was "Oh that is a lot more than we had planned to spend". So I decided to write this article based on some of the horror stories we have heard in the past.

Have you heard the statement "You get what you paid for?" Sure you have, so what do you think that DJ who is $75.00 an hour is going to be like? Now keep in mind that some of the higher priced companies can be just as bad. What you want to do is find a company that is willing to negotiate with you on the price. A company that sees your wedding day as an investment for you and not just another pay day for them. Our packages are designed to allow for some flexibility when it comes to your big day and dreams. This is the biggest day of your life and you should not have to skimp on professionalism because y…

Blaise Alexander Hyundai Mazda Christmas Party

Tonight we are headed to The Atherton Hotel in State College for the Blaise Alexander Hyundai Mazda Holiday Party. Guests start arriving around 7PM and enjoy some time to talk things over with people they haven't seen in a while and just mingle and enjoy some drinks.
While we were still doing some prep work as guests were filtering in and the music was on, our Bride from September 29th came over to say hello, turns out her husband works for Blaise Alexander Hyundai Mazda, it was a nice surprise to see them again.
After mingling for a bit the General Manager John Broome took to the microphone to thank everyone for coming out. Again, it is nice to hear the managers take value in their employees. As they gave out awards last night he said several times "I wish I could give everyone an award". After the awards and some acknowledgements of people in the company who others don't see everyday and thanking everyone for all they do it was off to the dancing.
Luke had inform…
