Nicole & Christopher's Wedding

Nicole & Christopher On The Dance Floor

Today we are once again headed over the hill to Harmony Forge Inn in Bellefonte. Today is the wedding Ceremony & Reception of Christopher and Nicole, and once again Mother Nature has other plans.

Nicole wanted to get married in front of the main house, but the weather was calling for, yep you guessed it, rain! They mad the call to move the ceremony into the barn. Turns out though the forecast was wrong and the sun actually shined all the way through the ceremony, minus the 30 second shower that happened just before the ceremony from an invisible cloud.

We did not need to provide cocktail music for this wedding as we were treated to some very lovely music from some live string musicians. When Jana from Jana Scott Photography returned with the bridal party, we did the Grand Entrance.

Before dinner and toasts Nicole & Christopher wanted to thank everyone for coming to their destination wedding (just kidding). Turns out that these two met while attending Penn State. Neither are from the area, but found Harmony Forge when they were canoeing down Spring Creek one afternoon and decided that was the place they wanted to get married.

Dinner and drinks were served and provided by Nittany Catering. Things were a little different on this wedding because neither the bride or groom were big fans of cake. So we went a little different and had a pie cutting instead of cake cutting. This was followed by Nicole and Christopher and their first dance to "If Not For You" by Bob Dylan. Followed by the Father/Daughter Dance and the Mother/Son Dances.

At this time we open the dance floor and listen to the rain hit the window behind us. The plan was for Fireside S'mores and a motorcycle send off, both of which were cancelled because of the rain. Nicole & Christopher invited friends and family to join them in one final dance to "More Of You" by Chris Stapleton before we closed out the night with "Closing Time" by Semisonic.

Congratulations Again Mr & Mrs Strock!

Venue Spotlight April 7, 2019

We are almost into the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. Until wedding season begins we want to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. This week we head to Tiadaghton Farm in Jersey Shore, PA. Tiadaghton Farm 707 River Road Jersey Shore, PA 17740 http://tiadaghtonfarm.com/ This is a very interesting site. The barn was renovated and became  Tiadaghton Farm Wedding Venue in 2015, and has quickly become  the best choice for rustic and elegant weddings in the area. Leslie & Mike's Wedding

All photos used in this post are courtesy of NixPix Photography Today we are heading to Laurel Rock Farms in Mifflintown for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception of Mike & Leslie. AJ actually went to school with Leslie so was honored when he was asked to DJ their wedding. Upon arriving it was an unusually warm day for October. The ceremony was to have been outside but with blazing sunshine and temperatures already near 90 degrees, Leslie made the call to move the ceremony indoors.  At 2PM, Mike and the groomsmen took their places down front as the Bridal Party made their way down the aisle. Then all the guests rose as Leslie made her way down the aisle to an instrumental version of "Marry Me" by Train. After the officiant presented the new Mr & Mrs Carter they walked back up the aisle to an instrumental version of "Beautiful Day" by U2. After a short receiving line, the bride, groom, bridal party, and families were taken for pictures by Nikkie...

Today we are heading to Heritage Restored Farm Weddings And Events in Newburg PA. (See more about this venue in our venue spotlight ) At 5:00pm on a somewhat dreary Saturday afternoon, but not enough to dampen the mood of Siobhan & Joshua, or their friends and family, Siobhan's wedding party made their way down the aisle to where Joshua was waiting to the music of Jake Coco and a cover of Oasis's "Wonderwall.  Friends and family were then asked to rise as Siobhan made her way down the aisle to "Faithfully" by Boyce Avenue. After reading their vows to each other, Siobhan and Joshua were presented to friends and family and exited the ceremony to "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by The Verve.
