Nicole & Christopher's Wedding

Nicole & Christopher On The Dance Floor

Today we are once again headed over the hill to Harmony Forge Inn in Bellefonte. Today is the wedding Ceremony & Reception of Christopher and Nicole, and once again Mother Nature has other plans.

Nicole wanted to get married in front of the main house, but the weather was calling for, yep you guessed it, rain! They mad the call to move the ceremony into the barn. Turns out though the forecast was wrong and the sun actually shined all the way through the ceremony, minus the 30 second shower that happened just before the ceremony from an invisible cloud.

We did not need to provide cocktail music for this wedding as we were treated to some very lovely music from some live string musicians. When Jana from Jana Scott Photography returned with the bridal party, we did the Grand Entrance.

Before dinner and toasts Nicole & Christopher wanted to thank everyone for coming to their destination wedding (just kidding). Turns out that these two met while attending Penn State. Neither are from the area, but found Harmony Forge when they were canoeing down Spring Creek one afternoon and decided that was the place they wanted to get married.

Dinner and drinks were served and provided by Nittany Catering. Things were a little different on this wedding because neither the bride or groom were big fans of cake. So we went a little different and had a pie cutting instead of cake cutting. This was followed by Nicole and Christopher and their first dance to "If Not For You" by Bob Dylan. Followed by the Father/Daughter Dance and the Mother/Son Dances.

At this time we open the dance floor and listen to the rain hit the window behind us. The plan was for Fireside S'mores and a motorcycle send off, both of which were cancelled because of the rain. Nicole & Christopher invited friends and family to join them in one final dance to "More Of You" by Chris Stapleton before we closed out the night with "Closing Time" by Semisonic.

Congratulations Again Mr & Mrs Strock!

Angela & Mike's Wedding

Angela & Mike's First Dance Today we are heading to a new wedding venue, at a historic location. Today's wedding is at Penn's Cave! We will be christening the new enclosed pavilion with it's first wedding. The Wedding of Angela and Mike. With every new venue there are bound to be some hiccups along the way and one of the big ones was a date mix-up, forcing the couple to move the wedding to the weekend before they had actually invited everyone to. Still with the power of social media they were able to pull it off. Angela had contacted me via Facebook about her wedding and said she loved what we had to offer but she wasn't sure she could swing the investment. I explained like I always do why the prices are what they are (look for a blog on that later) and told her I would work with her on a budget. We finally were able to agree on a price that worked for both of us. Then came the planning. Angela had a love/hate relationship with our online planning
