Leslie & Mike's Wedding

Today we are heading to Laurel Rock Farms in Mifflintown for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception of Mike & Leslie. AJ actually went to school with Leslie so was honored when he was asked to DJ their wedding.

Upon arriving it was an unusually warm day for October. The ceremony was to have been outside but with blazing sunshine and temperatures already near 90 degrees, Leslie made the call to move the ceremony indoors. 

At 2PM, Mike and the groomsmen took their places down front as the Bridal Party made their way down the aisle. Then all the guests rose as Leslie made her way down the aisle to an instrumental version of "Marry Me" by Train. After the officiant presented the new Mr & Mrs Carter they walked back up the aisle to an instrumental version of "Beautiful Day" by U2. After a short receiving line, the bride, groom, bridal party, and families were taken for pictures by Nikkie and Nick.

Upon returning the Bride and Groom had their grand entrance, followed by the blessing and dinner. Dinner was followed by the cake cutting and then the Bride and Groom took to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife to "Then" by Brad Paisley


After that we opened the dance floor for some partying, until the parent dances. This was a really cool concept that the bride and groom came up with. Instead of 2 separate dances, they did the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance together to "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King. This was followed by the Garter/Bouquet Toss and then more dancing, before we wrapped the night up with "Na Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye" by Steam.

Angela & Mike's Wedding

Angela & Mike's First Dance Today we are heading to a new wedding venue, at a historic location. Today's wedding is at Penn's Cave! We will be christening the new enclosed pavilion with it's first wedding. The Wedding of Angela and Mike. With every new venue there are bound to be some hiccups along the way and one of the big ones was a date mix-up, forcing the couple to move the wedding to the weekend before they had actually invited everyone to. Still with the power of social media they were able to pull it off. Angela had contacted me via Facebook about her wedding and said she loved what we had to offer but she wasn't sure she could swing the investment. I explained like I always do why the prices are what they are (look for a blog on that later) and told her I would work with her on a budget. Saturday Night Dance Party At Finnegan's
