Morgan & Casey's Wedding

Morgan And Casey's First Dance W/ Bubbles

Today we travel to a place called DenElaine Springs Farm in Tryone. This is a barn that sits on Morgan & Casey's property, that they remolded for the purpose of their wedding, but also future events as well.

It is still Central PA and Mother Nature is still playing her evil game of lets rain for 6 days straight and then maybe some sun. We have lots of sun today and it is just the right tempeture for a fall wedding. However we now have run into an issue, everything is a swamp from under the tents to the parking area. We manage to make it work.

The recpetion is in the barn, but the ceremony is around the back of the property at a neighbors house. At 3PM the groomsmen arrive on dirt bikes to the ceremony and take their places as the bridal party and bride begin to make their way down the aisle to "I Get To Love You" by Ruelle. Once the officiant presents the new Mr & Mrs Frye they walk up the ailse to "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" by James Taylor.

Kimberly of Kimberly Wright Photography then takes the groom, bride, bridal party, and family for pics while everyone is invited to cocktails and snacks back at the barn. When the bridal party returns from pictures we have the grand entrance through a cloud of bubbles along with  toasts and the blessing. We are then treated to a delcious meal from Adler's Catering.

After dinner the Bride And Groom take to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife to the song "Better Today" by Coffey Anderson. That is then followed by the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance, Garter/Bouquet Toss, and the Anniversary Dance.

After the dance floor has been open for a while we invite people to take part in the Dollar Dance where Morgan and Casey will compete to see who can make more money. (Winner was Morgan) We then traveled around to the front of the barn where guests were encouraged to partake in a Chinese Lantern Send Off. (By now the tempature has dropped almost 20 degrees and it is getting kind of cold).

Once everyone returned to the barn we continued to party until Morgan And Casey danced their last dance to "Beautiful Crazy" by Luke Combs and we ended the night with "Bye Bye Bye" by N'Sync.

Congratulations Again To Mr & Mrs Frye!

Venue Spotlight April 14, 2019

This week's venue spotlight takes us to Millbrook Marsh & Nature Center. We were here in August for the wedding of Leigh and Jared. Just like last week's venue they offer several outdoor locations for your ceremony and the reception can be held in the barn.  Take a look at some of the areas outside to hold your reception and or ceremony. The Millbrook Marsh Nature Center occupies about 60 acres of the Millbrook Marsh, lowlands along  along Spring Creek and Slab Cabin Creek   If you are still looking for a venue for your wedding, take a look at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center's  website or Facebook Page or call  (814) 235-7819

Venue Spotlight April 28, 2019

Next week begins the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. On the off weekends this wedding season we will continue to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. With that said, this week let's head right down the road from us to Harmony Forge in Bellefonte, PA. We were here for 2 weddings last year. In August we helped Todd and Paige get married and in October we were here for Nicole & Christopher's Wedding.  How about a little history! The Harmony Forge property dates back to the 1790s. It is the site of the Harmony Forge/Milesburg Iron Works that was built after the Revolutionary War. There is no definitive date to when the mansion was built, but can be dated to somewhere between 1796 and 1820.  The iron works no longer exist but the mansion does, and the property has seen many different reincarnations over the year,

Bellefonte Area High School Class Of 1998 Reunion

Saturday Night we had the pleasure of Djing the 20th Reunion of the Bellefonte Are High School Class of 1998. (It's actually 21 but....shhhhh!) The Nittany Country Club put out a wonderful dinner spread and we redid the slide show they had put together years ago, and added a few highlights from the 10 year reunion. It's always fun to catch up with people you have not seen in years.  Here is the slide show we redid: Talk to us today about your class reunion!
