Kirstin & Tyler's Wedding

Kirstin & Tyler, photo courtesy of Captured Moments By Nathan Weist

Today we are headed to the beautiful campus of Juniata College in Huntingdon for the wedding of Tyler and Kirstin.

We never actually met this couple in person until the day of the wedding. This was all planned via phone, email, and our online planner. We covered both the reception and ceremony. The Ceremony was to be held outside, but due to weather forecasts this couple was forced to move the ceremony indoors. As mother nature would have it, the forecast changed at the minute.

The ceremony was held across the street from the building the reception was in. At 3:30pm The Grandparents and Parents were ushered in and then Kirtsin walked down the aisle to "Cannon in D" to a waiting Tyler. Once the officiant presented them as the new Mr & Mrs Reed. They walked up the aisle to "You Make My Dreams" from Hall & Oates.

Over at the Reception after the Grand Entrance, which also involved bubbles, we were served a wonderful meal provided by Juniata College. Then Kirstin and Tyler took to the dance floor for the first time as Husband And Wife to dance to "Lost In This Moment" by Big & Rich.

We played the Mr And Mrs Game at this wedding, where we learned that Kirstin is more likely to deal with a spider in the bathtub and wears the pants in the relationship.

We were also treated to a little video that was done for the couple by one of the guests. The party rocked into the night, right up until the bride and groom took to the floor to dance one last time to Luke Bryan's "To The Moon And Back" and we wrapped up the night with Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes "Time Of My Life"

A Special Thanks to Nathan Weist at Captured Moments Photography for working with us to make this wedding extra special for Kirstin and Tyler.

Venue Spotlight April 14, 2019

This week's venue spotlight takes us to Millbrook Marsh & Nature Center. We were here in August for the wedding of Leigh and Jared. Just like last week's venue they offer several outdoor locations for your ceremony and the reception can be held in the barn.  Take a look at some of the areas outside to hold your reception and or ceremony. The Millbrook Marsh Nature Center occupies about 60 acres of the Millbrook Marsh, lowlands along  along Spring Creek and Slab Cabin Creek   If you are still looking for a venue for your wedding, take a look at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center's  website or Facebook Page or call  (814) 235-7819

Venue Spotlight April 28, 2019

Next week begins the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. On the off weekends this wedding season we will continue to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. With that said, this week let's head right down the road from us to Harmony Forge in Bellefonte, PA. We were here for 2 weddings last year. In August we helped Todd and Paige get married and in October we were here for Nicole & Christopher's Wedding.  How about a little history! The Harmony Forge property dates back to the 1790s. It is the site of the Harmony Forge/Milesburg Iron Works that was built after the Revolutionary War. There is no definitive date to when the mansion was built, but can be dated to somewhere between 1796 and 1820.  The iron works no longer exist but the mansion does, and the property has seen many different reincarnations over the year,

Bellefonte Area High School Class Of 1998 Reunion

Saturday Night we had the pleasure of Djing the 20th Reunion of the Bellefonte Are High School Class of 1998. (It's actually 21 but....shhhhh!) The Nittany Country Club put out a wonderful dinner spread and we redid the slide show they had put together years ago, and added a few highlights from the 10 year reunion. It's always fun to catch up with people you have not seen in years.  Here is the slide show we redid: Talk to us today about your class reunion!
