Amanda & Brandon's Wedding


This week we travel to southern PA for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception of Amanda & Brandon at DuCar Farms in Chambersburg. 

The weather has been crazy in Central PA this summer so far. If it is not raining, it is crazy hot and this week is no exception as temperatures are pushing the upper 90s. 

The reception will be in the barn and the ceremony will take place at the gazebo in front of the main house. At 3:45pm the groom and groomsmen take their places and the bridal procession starts down the aisle. Amanda then makes her way around from the back of the house and down the stairs to the sounds of The Piano Guys covering "Perfect" from Ed Sheeran. 

When the officiant presents the new Mr & Mrs. Gricks, the newlyweds head back up the aisle to the sounds of The Piano Guys covering "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". Once the bridal party has made it back up the aisle, guests are invited to enjoy cocktails from Catered Cocktails downstairs while Yasha takes the bridal party and family for pictures.

When the bridal party returns we do the grand entrance, blessing, and toasts and enjoy a wonderful meal from Mission BBQ. After the cake cutting Amanda & Brandon take the floor for their first dance as Husband & Wife in front of friends and family, to "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by Sleep At Last. 

Once the father/daughter and mother/son dances are completed the dance floor opens for the rest of the night until the Bride and Groom take to the floor one last time to dance to "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King and we send everyone home to Lone Bellow's "May You Be Well".

Louise & Evan's Wedding

This week we are headed to Laurel Mountain Winery in Falls Creek, PA, for the wedding of Louise and Evan. This couple has actually been married since December of 2016, but had issues with getting friends and family together for the reception until now. We were set up inside a pavilion that overlooked the vines for the winery. The cocktail hour music was provided by a local artist who played guitar and sang for the cocktail hour. This was a laid back event so the bride and groom mingled during the cocktail hour. Towards the end of the cocktail hour we lined up the bridal party and did a grand entrance and then ate dinner which was provided by some of the guests, who brought their own recipes. Leslie & Mike's Wedding

All photos used in this post are courtesy of NixPix Photography Today we are heading to Laurel Rock Farms in Mifflintown for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception of Mike & Leslie. AJ actually went to school with Leslie so was honored when he was asked to DJ their wedding. Upon arriving it was an unusually warm day for October. The ceremony was to have been outside but with blazing sunshine and temperatures already near 90 degrees, Leslie made the call to move the ceremony indoors.  At 2PM, Mike and the groomsmen took their places down front as the Bridal Party made their way down the aisle. Then all the guests rose as Leslie made her way down the aisle to an instrumental version of "Marry Me" by Train. After the officiant presented the new Mr & Mrs Carter they walked back up the aisle to an instrumental version of "Beautiful Day" by U2.
