Amanda & Brandon's Wedding

This week we travel to southern PA for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception of Amanda & Brandon at DuCar Farms in Chambersburg.

The weather has been crazy in Central PA this summer so far. If it is not raining, it is crazy hot and this week is no exception as temperatures are pushing the upper 90s.

The reception will be in the barn and the ceremony will take place at the gazebo in front of the main house. At 3:45pm the groom and groomsmen take their places and the bridal procession starts down the aisle. Amanda then makes her way around from the back of the house and down the stairs to the sounds of The Piano Guys covering "Perfect" from Ed Sheeran.

When the officiant presents the new Mr & Mrs. Gricks, the newlyweds head back up the aisle to the sounds of The Piano Guys covering "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". Once the bridal party has made it back up the aisle, guests are invited to enjoy cocktails from Catered Cocktails downstairs while Yasha takes the bridal party and family for pictures.

When the bridal party returns we do the grand entrance, blessing, and toasts and enjoy a wonderful meal from Mission BBQ. After the cake cutting Amanda & Brandon take the floor for their first dance as Husband & Wife in front of friends and family, to "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by Sleep At Last.

Once the father/daughter and mother/son dances are completed the dance floor opens for the rest of the night until the Bride and Groom take to the floor one last time to dance to "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King and we send everyone home to Lone Bellow's "May You Be Well".

This week's venue spotlight takes us to Millbrook Marsh & Nature Center. We were here in August for the wedding of Leigh and Jared. Just like last week's venue they offer several outdoor locations for your ceremony and the reception can be held in the barn. We are almost into the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. Until wedding season begins we want to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. This week we head to Tiadaghton Farm in Jersey Shore, PA. There is plenty of space to park cars and more than one area to hold your ceremony if you wish to do so. The property has been family owned since the 1940's and The barn was in built in the 1950’s and for six decades served as a tobacco barn. Lock Haven Boy Scout Troop Holiday Party

Tonight DJ Gigi was helping us out by picking up an event for us in Lock Haven. Stef who is a leader with the Boy Scouts and friends with AJ had contacted us about DJing the party. We weren't available to do it, but after reaching out to DJ Gigi she agreed to do it for us. We are thankful that she was able to pull it off for us and all had a wonderful time.
