The Horror Stories

Well now that the Bridal Expo has passed, we would first like to thank the hundreds of brides who came out looking for that perfect vendor for their nuptials. One of the most common things we heard during the day was "Oh that is a lot more than we had planned to spend". So I decided to write this article based on some of the horror stories we have heard in the past.  Have you heard the statement "You get what you paid for?" Sure you have, so what do you think that DJ who is $75.00 an hour is going to be like? Now keep in mind that some of the higher priced companies can be just as bad. What you want to do is find a company that is willing to negotiate with you on the price. A company that sees your wedding day as an investment for you and not just another pay day for them. Our packages are designed to allow for some flexibility when it comes to your big day and dreams. This is the biggest day of your life and you should not have to skimp on professionalism beca...

Jessica & Ethan's Wedding

This afternoon we are headed back to The Atherton Hotel in State College for the first wedding reception of 2019.  Today's couple is Jessica and Ethan. The couple arrived at the hotel during cocktail hour after getting some pictures with TM Grey Photos. After the Grand Entrance to Blue Suede's "Hooke On A Feeling"  Our Bride & Groom took to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife, dancing to "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith, with the bubbles. Jessica than stayed on the dance floor for a dance with her father who happens to be a huge Jimmy Buffet fan, Jessica chose "Little Miss Magic" by Jimmy Buffet for the dance. And then Ethan and his mom took to the dance floor, for the Mother/Son dance. The song they chose to dance to was Phil Collins "You'll Be In My Heart" After a toast by the best man, we were treated to a fantastic meal by The Atherton Hotel. We then cut the ...

Courtney & Jordan's Wedding

All pictures used in this post are courtesy of Daniel James Photography So it is really beginning to look like we live at The Atherton Hotel. This week we head back for the wedding of Courtney & Jordan. It's New Year's Eve Weekend and of all the people to come down sick this week. It is AJ. AJ is the DJ/Emcee for the night and has been battling the stomach bug that has been floating around.  Tonight will be a little more scaled back than most weddings, mostly because the bride and groom wanted it that way, but also because AJ is running on fumes and barely even is aware where he is at. Once the bride and groom return from pictures with Daniel James Photography we have our grand entrance. The bridal party walks into "Forever" by Chris Brown and the Bride and Groom enter to "Happy" by Pharell Williams. Once Courtney & Jordan are seated we get to some toasts from the Best Man and Maid Of Honor.  Dinner is then served, another meal s...

Blaise Alexander Hyundai Mazda Christmas Party

Tonight we are headed to The Atherton Hotel in State College for the Blaise Alexander Hyundai Mazda Holiday Party. Guests start arriving around 7PM and enjoy some time to talk things over with people they haven't seen in a while and just mingle and enjoy some drinks.  While we were still doing some prep work as guests were filtering in and the music was on, our Bride from September 29th came over to say hello, turns out her husband works for Blaise Alexander Hyundai Mazda, it was a nice surprise to see them again. After mingling for a bit the General Manager John Broome took to the microphone to thank everyone for coming out. Again, it is nice to hear the managers take value in their employees. As they gave out awards last night he said several times "I wish I could give everyone an award". After the awards and some acknowledgements of people in the company who others don't see everyday and thanking everyone for all they do it was off to the dancing. ...

Arrow Land Solutions Christmas Party

Tonight we are at The Casino At Lakemont Park in Altoona, for the Arrow Land Solutions Christmas Party. One thing I find enjoyable about these parties is listening to CEO, or partners, or managers, talk about how much they appreciate everything their employees do. If it wasn't for the great people at the top who believe in their staff, you would not have the success of companies like Arrow Land Solutions. You would also not have the dedication of people like Megan from Arrow Land who took it upon herself to organize everything for the night. A huge Thank You to Megan and Arrow Land Solutions for allowing us to be a part of your event. On a side note Mother Nature decided to throw in a whole new level of weather fun for the drive home on this one! Just outside Altoona it started snowing so hard you could barely see, let alone find the road. However none of this snow was showing on the radar. Well played Mother Nature. Well Played!
