Andrew & Melody's Wedding

This week we are heading to a neat little venue outside Mifflinburg called Laurel Lodge Events. This week we are providing services for the ceremony and reception of Andrew and Melody. The reception being held in the lodge with the ceremony across the road in a clearing in the woods.

At 11AM the Groom and Groomsmen take their spots as the bridal party makes their way down the aisle. With Melody following behind walking down the aisle to "Here Comes The Bride". Once the ceremony ends and the officiant has presented the new Mr & Mrs Haupt, the newlyweds makes their way back up the aisle to "(Say Hey) I Love You" by Michael Franeti & Spearhead.

The guests are invited to the lodge for drinks and snacks while Kaitlin from Euphoric Shutterbug takes the couple, bridal party, and family for pictures.

Once the bridal party returns we line them up and bring them in for the grand entrance while raining bubbles on the crowd from the loft above. As the bride and groom take to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife on the wedding cloud while dancing to "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz.

We sat down and had dinner followed by the Father/Daughter & Mother/Son dance with more bubbles. We played the Mr & Mrs Game and learned that Melody wears the pants in the relationship. We also played the Guess Who game, and Andrew was able to identify Melody not once but twice.

The Bride and Groom danced their last dance to "Beauty & The Beast" by Celine Dion and Pebo Bryson, then left the reception on the back of a motorcycle.

Congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Haupt

Louise & Evan's Wedding

This week we are headed to Laurel Mountain Winery in Falls Creek, PA, for the wedding of Louise and Evan. This couple has actually been married since December of 2016, but had issues with getting friends and family together for the reception until now. We were set up inside a pavilion that overlooked the vines for the winery. The cocktail hour music was provided by a local artist who played guitar and sang for the cocktail hour. This was a laid back event so the bride and groom mingled during the cocktail hour. Towards the end of the cocktail hour we lined up the bridal party and did a grand entrance and then ate dinner which was provided by some of the guests, who brought their own recipes. After dinner Louise and Evan took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife...Something that they had waited over a year to do. For the first time friends and family watched them dance to Ed Sheeran and Beyonce's "Perfect". We then partied later into the ...

Leslie & Mike's Wedding

All photos used in this post are courtesy of NixPix Photography Today we are heading to Laurel Rock Farms in Mifflintown for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception of Mike & Leslie. AJ actually went to school with Leslie so was honored when he was asked to DJ their wedding. Upon arriving it was an unusually warm day for October. The ceremony was to have been outside but with blazing sunshine and temperatures already near 90 degrees, Leslie made the call to move the ceremony indoors.  At 2PM, Mike and the groomsmen took their places down front as the Bridal Party made their way down the aisle. Then all the guests rose as Leslie made her way down the aisle to an instrumental version of "Marry Me" by Train. After the officiant presented the new Mr & Mrs Carter they walked back up the aisle to an instrumental version of "Beautiful Day" by U2. After a short receiving line, the bride, groom, bridal party, and families were taken for pictures by Nikkie...

Venue Spotlight April 7, 2019

We are almost into the full brunt of wedding season and each week we are going to spotlight the venues we visit. So if you are planning a wedding or event, keep your eyes on our blog page. Until wedding season begins we want to spotlight some of the places we visited last year. This week we head to Tiadaghton Farm in Jersey Shore, PA. Tiadaghton Farm 707 River Road Jersey Shore, PA 17740 http://tiadaghtonfarm.com/ This is a very interesting site. There is plenty of space to park cars and more than one area to hold your ceremony if you wish to do so.  The property has been family owned since the 1940's and  The barn was in built in the 1950’s and for six decades served as a tobacco barn. The barn was renovated and became  Tiadaghton Farm Wedding Venue in 2015, and has quickly become  the best choice for rustic and elegant weddings in the area. For more information about Tiadaghton Farm visit their website or Facebook pa...
